july 4 (5) all-paces

What a mess! The Princeton Free Wheelers scheduled an All-Paces ride for today, as we've done for the July 4th holiday for decades. But a week or so ago, we heard from the park that we wouldn't be able to use the regular parking lot, we were moved to another lot further along.

Then yesterday, a member phoned Club President Ira S: ALL the lots were closed! I got an early morning, panicked call, and we considered moving the whole business to the Mercer County College lot. But shortly thereafter, somebody got through to the park rangers, and all was well.

Still, were were parked in a different different lot from the one we were initially told! But with some traffic direction we got parked, and the rides went out (at different times, which helped with organization... but meant that we saw fewer of the members we don't often see).

I did a ride with The Excellent Wife (TEW); it was a "fast C", and we had thirteen-or-so. Grats to Bob S who swept.

You can see the photo album on the Princeton Free Wheelers Photos and Albums page.
